We arrived home at 5:30 pm to be greeted by David & Jenna and the kids with a great sign that said, "Welcome Home Elder & Sister Lemmert".
Sitting on the counter were a dozen gorgeous yellow roses, with dinner in the oven. What a great welcome! We ate dinner together and by 7:00 pm we were in the Stake President's office to be released from our mission. It was a sad time when we took off our missionary badges....
Of course, one of our first stops after we arrived home was our hangout at "In-N-Out Burger". Lunch for less than $9.00
Eileen and Jamie surprised us by meeting us at the restaurant where we met Casey (grandson) and Demi for a birthday dinner.
Barbecue at Casey's home. Eileen is in the center by her dad.
Our prickly pear cactus was in bloom. The blooms only last about one day, so I loved to see this blossom on the cactus.
We purchased a new car because our Ada car was a little worn out!
Emily & Jason and our grandson came from California to welcome us home#
Posing at David's workplace on a Kenworth Truck were Emily and the grandkids. When you come home from your mission, it's all about family. There are still more to see!
The missionaries were so kind to fix us breakfast. We normally cooked "transfer breakfast" for the missionaries for each transfer, but they cooked for us this time, our final transfer. Sister Shurtz and Elder Savage also transferred to another area.
Sister Shurtz and Lindsey, Elder Mangum, Savage, and Lemmert
The Sweeney's were our last visitors the night before we left Ada.
The missionaries helped us pack up the apartment and pack the car. We were really loaded down with "stuff" for our drive home.
Passing through Texas we saw one of the largest crosses we have ever seen! The church is in the background, looking pretty small next to the cross!
We were told to stop at "The Big Texan" to eat in Amarillo, Texas
In the car heading toward Mesa, AZ
Crossing the border into the desert and sunshine!
The Ward sent us off with a "Pie Goodbye" after Church Sunday. It was great to see so many people there to see us off from our mission. Elder & Sister Lemmert spoke in Church, then we had a social to say good-bye to so many of our great friends whom we love so much!

The missionaries rigged up a great funeral for our demise, with urns and eulogies.
This is our District before we left Ada. It consists of the Seminole and Ada Elders and Sisters. Elder Savage, Anderson, Lemmert; Sister Lemmert, Schurtz, Lindsey.
Sisters Wedemeyer and Failner (STL), and Elder Mangum, our District Leader
