Bidding Farewell to Sister Chappell

Sister Judith Chappell, our dear friends who joined the church in February 2014, and has been so happy and faithful since her baptism.  She attended the Temple February 2015 and in March was sealed for eternity to her husband.  What a blessing she has been to the missionaries in Ada.  Monthly dinners, good laughs, and love, love, love.  She sold her four ranches, all her cattle, and her home and moved to Santequin, Utah to live nearer her family.  We will miss Sister Chappell!

Birthday Fun!

For Sister Lemmert's birthday we headed to Oklahoma City (OKC) Monday and Tuesday and enjoyed a fun outing shopping, attending the Temple, and visiting the National Cowboy Museum.

Eating crab wontons at the Cheesecake Factory!  Yes, I was happy!
We have been looking forward to shopping for fresh produce for a long time....we have become used to buying much of our produce in cellophane, which doesn't always seem the freshest. It was great to walk into the store and see lots of fresh produce.  Of course, we couldn't pass up the nut and candy bins either

I couldn't post bail so he was in there awhile.....

General Conference & Easter Weekend

The missionaries wanted to cook each other lunch during General Conference sessions, so Elder Garner, Elder Tanner and the Lemmerts cooked breakfast for lunch (hashbrowns, eggs, pancakes, etc.) and we actually had the Elders doing most of the cooking!

This is our Easter selfie!  We are learning to take more selfies because no one is around to take our picture!  As you can see in most of the backgrounds, our mission map and LDS art. We are definitely a missionary apartment!

We were treated to Easter lunch by the Joe & Mary Bush, our dear friends here in Ada. We are also joined by Penny & Walt Tryon, long time residents of Ada, OK.  These cute little Easter treats were at our plates.

Spring is in the Air in Ada, OK

When we arrived in Ada, OK in October, nature was pretty brown and dead-looking. Finally, all the fields are green, the thousands of trees are green, and blooms and blossoms are coming out everywhere!  We are anxious to see all the wildflowers bloom in the open fields.
